Windscape Kite Festival
Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Marston Street and 11th Avenue SW in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
The skies above Swift Current will fill with a colorful array of some of the most unique kites North America has to offer. See fabulous art kites, giant creature kites, roaring stunt kites, battling fighter kites, soaring kite trains, and speeding kite buggies!
The public is welcome to bring a kite to fly at the festival, but Windscape also offers the opportunity to create a custom made kite at our workshop. There is also a Windscape Kite Store where many kinds of kites, including inexpensive children's kites as well as creature and cartoon character kites, are available to purchase. Enjoy spectacular demonstrations, exciting displays, delicious food, and the great outdoors!
The festival is a great event for families, featuring a number of exciting children's activities, including face painting, "bol" races, balloons, a bubble station, paper airplanes and a candy drop!
Meet and fly alongside many international superstar kite artists and performers from across North America.
With free admission and a wide variety of activities to appeal to people of all ages, Windscape Kite Festival 2010 promises to be an exciting event!
